WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT CSBC?
Nothing! Absolutely nothing! If you are looking for a perfect church then you are going to be very disappointed with us. At CSBC you’ll find real people, with real problems, who live real lives, and are all learning to love a real God whose grace is more than enough for all our needs.
You see, at CSBC we don’t need to cling to our own “special-ness” or “goodness” because of the cross of Jesus Christ. At His cross we find that none are really “good” at all. In fact, at Jesus’ cross we discover that we are unquestionably guilty and yet can be unconditionally forgiven.
At the cross we learn that Christ does NOT want to condemn us in our sins but to save us from them. At the cross we find that God receives us just where we are but He loves us enough not to leave us there. God can and will change lives. He is changing us and can change you as well.
We celebrate Him - not us! Here at CSBC there are only people. People like me. People like you. People like us. People who desperately need God’s grace. Everyone is welcome to come and receive that grace. We invite you to join us on this life-changing journey.
OUR MISSION AND VISION
IN CHRIST | ON MISSION | TOGETHER
Desiring to be part of a disciple making movement here in the Mid-Coast of Maine that touches and transforms lives, families, and communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves to the making of disciples who are ever growing in their identity in Christ, their investment in His church, and their involvement in God’s mission of reconciliation.
FIRST VISIT?
Learn a little about us and what to expect. We are a Bible-based church and grow together by applying God’s Word to our lives and sharing the Gospel [Good News!] of Jesus. We hope to be a safe, encouraging place for all people to ask questions, explore their faith, and experience community in Camden and the Midcoast area.
WHAT ARE SERVICES LIKE?
We know that visiting a new church can be a bit awkward or intimidating, so don’t worry, we won’t ask you to do anything that will embarrass or single you out in any way. Coffee is on us, our worship team plays a few songs and each week’s message lasts for about 30 minutes. Overall, service lasts about an hour.
hAVE KIDS?
Our Children and youth are valuable members and the future of the church family. We’re passionate about partnering with families to raise kids who love and trust Jesus.
Our Sunday school classes meet each week and is the place where your children will be safe, have fun and learn about Jesus on their level!
All of our childcare and youth workers have been trained and have undergone background checks to ensure the safety of your child in accordance with our Church Protection and Policy Training.
GET CONNECTED
We were created to be in relationship, not only with God, but with one another. When we gather and grow in our faith together, we experience life as God intended–in community. Spiritual transformation happens best when we join an authentic and caring group, centered on Scripture, where we can acknowledge our true brokenness and seek healing and transformation that can only come from God.
COMMUNITY BREAKFAST
Life is always better together!
Every Monday here at CSBC we host our Camden Community Breakfast. All are invited! It’s our treat! The breakfast goes from 7:00 AM until 9:00 AM. Come join us! ALL are welcome!

sERMONS
Stay caught up with the messages from Sunday morning. New sermons are posted weekly.
NEXT STEPS
Everybody has a next step! Whether you are ready to make a decision for Jesus or want to find out how to get connected, let us help!
KEEP IT SIMPLE
We believe simple is better, so we do four fundamental practices here at CSBC.
Worship Gatherings
Sundays we gather together to encounter God - through His word and through His presence. Worship is where we meet with God, teach His Word, and minister to each other.
Small Groups
Small groups are three or more people who meet together regularly to pray and discuss scripture together, specifically: 1. What does it say about God. 2. What does it say about people? 3. How does it point us to the Gospel?
Serving Teams
Serving teams serve together under one of five deacon spheres (Finance, Facilities, Community, Worship Gatherings, and Outreach). Here is where you can use your gifts to make a difference in the lives of others, both in our church and our community.
Transformation
God’s presence (Spirit) is what transforms us. So we intentionally structure each of our gatherings to be centered around Jesus and The Gospel [The Good News], so we grow to become more like Him .
